At a time in midlife, when my inner light was burning low, I began to seek a lifestyle where I worked more to follow intuition and less to hone master plans, a lifestyle measured more by exchanges and less by conquest. At the age of 46 I’d been narrating audiobooks for over 10 years, and in the spirit of my new MO, I had the idea that it would be nice to give back to my mom by narrating one of her books. She was quite pleased and selected Pockets of Freedom: Unlocking the Power of Intuitive Teaching and Learning.

Before reviewing the manuscript I expected to have a pleasant but light production experience. This was a short and accessible piece, just fit it in, get it done to the best of my ability and move on. As I reviewed the text though, I was stunned. Here were the values of kindness and inspiration that had been coaxed from me as a kid. Here were such moving stories of how these values changed lives. Here was a behavior practice, a mindset, and most importantly a heart set that put these values to work. This book is a signpost on my new path.
